Steve, Owner and Certified Fascia Stretch Therapy Practitioner

Hey there, I'm Steve, Owner of Outside the Box Stretch Therapy, and Level 2 Fascia Stretch Therapy Practitioner. (Level 3 in May 2024!)

From the time I could walk, sports were an integral part of my life. Baseball, soccer, roller hockey, and track and field paved the way for my high school years, where I not only played soccer and competed in track and field but also found a profound love for strength training. This post-high school revelation led me to pursue personal training and nutrition coaching certifications.

Fueling my passion, I decided to delve deeper into the science behind exercise and earned my Bachelor's in Exercise Physiology from William Paterson University. Post-graduation, I coached group fitness and worked with individuals on holistic health, integrating nutrition, sleep, movement, and mindset. Recognizing the importance of a well-rounded approach, I emphasized that true wellness goes beyond appearances alone, focusing on thriving in every aspect of life.

My journey took a turn when my own injuries forced me to reconsider my relentless pursuit. Yoga became my solace, unveiling the power of restorative movement. It was a crucial lesson: sometimes, true healing comes when we slow down and let our bodies recover. This realization set the stage for my introduction to Fascia Stretch Therapy (FST) in 2022, a game-changer that inspired me to pursue Level 1 and Level 2 FST courses in 2023. I learned that by slowing down and getting out of the way, our bodies have an incredible capacity for healing.

What sets my business apart is a commitment to building relationships. Beyond just stretching, I actively listen to my clients, aiming to provide exactly what they need, even if it means guiding them to other trusted resources. I believe in making the world a better place through the ripple effect of positive interactions. My athletic background and setbacks aren't just stories; they're tools I use to relate and teach valuable lessons. Because in the end, it's the stories that connect us, inspire us, and make the journey worthwhile.
